Very steady bit, no pinching by angles bars. Used on horses that need more guidance around turns, like young horses or very strong ones. The full cheek bit is very popular with jumpers that need to turn quickly.
The second rein causes the bit to rotate and move towards the mouth angles, which means stronger effect. Useful with horses that tend to lean on the bit, or to reach a higher uprighting.
