The inner shell is made of variable-density polystyrene to dissipate the energy produced on impact more effectively.
This internal comfort liner is removable using a clip system similar to that used on the 1.0 helmet, which is much more robust than the Velcro system.
The liner can be washed as often as you like (max. 30°C), so you can always wear a clean, hygienic helmet.
